Fiesta In The Park 2003


This years Fiesta In The Park was once again held at Wicksteed park in Kettering, Northamptonshire and once again featured a whole host of fiesta's from the various marks and various forms of modifications. The show is not solely devoted to the fiesta however as other fast and not so fast fords were in a very definite attendance.

The weather was a lot more unkind than the previous years scorcher, but despite some heavy rain showers and some wind there were quite a few glimpses of the sun to boot which was very welcome by those coming to wander around the park taking in all the 4 wheeled delights. Possibly the car of the show for us personally has got to be Graham B's Mark 1 fiesta again...despite a year of use in competition it's still looking as fantastic as ever with more subtle touches including the super lightweight headlights!

As well as the hordes of previously mentioned fiesta's this was alsoa joint focus day and the ffoc were in very strong attendance with there huge stand of focus's including several of the new breed of RS flavour versions.

Fortunately there were a few more trade stores along the edge of the field so all those chromed engine bay parts could be acquired from one and then the polish to clean them with from another...this was a welcome addition.

As the FastFords project car was so near to completion it would of been rude not to attend the biggest fiesta outting of the year in it, so sure enough it made an appearance on the superb fordsport stand!

Another great show that anyone with a particular interest in fiestas or owns one would be mad to miss...the weather could of been better but that didn't subtract from a great show all the same.
