Side profile shows how nicely this XR2i sits on its Wolfrace 15's

Nicely styled would be one of many ways of describing Paul's highly modded XR2i. Virtually all the work has been carried out by himself and as you can see its certainly paid off!

Exterior, interior, engine and I.C.E. have all recieved Paul's attention and funding with the end result being a very unique XR2i.

Clean and modern rear end

The front bumper is a one off in as much as after acquiring the lower bib, Paul painstakingly grafted it onto the existing 2i bumper, the bumper was then resprayed and the end result looks fantastic - A definite alternative to the cossie style front end and in our opinion probably one that looks better as it keeps the shape and style of the 2i but makes it stand out from the crowd!

Unique and individual front bumper looks great

Clear fogs as well as front and side indicators help to modernise the front and what better way of keeping the theme going than a mighty fine set of clear rear clusters too!

There is a whole lot of detail on this car that you dont notice until you actually stop and have a good look at it! These include the M3 style mirrors, chrome bumper inserts, colour coded calipers and drums and alloy filler cap to name but a few.

Wolfrace Voodoo's really suit the shape of the Mk3 Fiesta
The four corners of Pauls car are adorned by 15" Wolfrace Voodoo's which suit the car down to the ground - which its not far from thanks to a lowered and uprated Spax suspension kit! The Voodoo's are sparingly wrapped in low profile GoodYear Eagle F1's which from our own experience we know are an outstanding choice of tyre.
RS interior - nout wrong with that!
The interior has been nicely tweaked with a set of Fiesta RS Turbo front and rear seats to perch on whilst in transit. Other nice touches include the alloy gear knob and white Dials!

White dials for the sporty look...

This car is certainly very cool - this maybe partly due to all the I.C.E. its hiding away! The boot conceals an awesome boot build featuring 2 of Kenwood's finest to drop like only a good woofer can...it also looks particularly impressive at night with the neon see through amp emitting a bright blue light for all to see...this matched with the rest of Paul's setup means he has a very nice balanced stereo install that can kick out some serious volume when required - Oh and yes he put it in himself too!
Mondeo spoiler and mk4 rear wiper modernise the rear end nicely

Is the engine standard I hear you ask - is it **** Its currently running a Magnex S/S exhaust, Pipercross induction kit and Piper 285 cam. This is just to tide Paul over before his new engine goes in - a rather tasty 135bhp proven 2i lump with some serious head and block work! Put it this way it wont be slow and will suprise a few people without doubt!

Of course with uprating of the power must come uprating of the stoppa's too - Paul has opted for some EBC drilled and grooved discs and EBC pads...A very useful combination for road use!

Low, aggressive and smooth - a top example of the MK3 XR

So all in all a very nicely, and tastefully modified XR2i. All areas have received a great deal of attention and it shows. It looks unique and the bodywork mods look like they are supposed to be there. It's no slouch in performance terms and has a great stereo install. A very nice example and one more than worthy of gracing the feature car section of fastfords.org.uk

Nice one Paul
